CAIRO – 12 August 2020: Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al Sisi had a phone call Wednesday with his Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to discuss the recent maritime borders agreement signed on Thursday.
 
The two leaders said that the agreement is a historical evolution in the bilateral relations and a model to realize stability and security in the Middle East, and a step that would enable both Egypt and Greece to benefit from their natural resources in the Mediterranean, said the presidential spokesperson Bassam Radi.
 
The two leaders have also exchanged opinions in different regional files of common interest, they agreed to intensify the cooperation as per a unified vision.
