Staff at Luxor General Hospital celebrate the end of the quarantin

CAIRO - 6 August 2020: Luxor General Hospital celebrated the release of the last two Covid-19 cases from the intensive care unit on Tuesday and braces for rejoining the regular healthcare system.
 
Director of the hospital, Dr. Khalaf Omar, said the hospital would be closed for 48 hours to be sterlized and disintefcted before it quits being a quaratine hospital and rejoins the health insurance system. 
 
The hospital dedicated itself the Covid-19 patients on June 4, and since then, 410 people have recovered from the coronavirus inside the hospital. 
 
Of the Covid-19 patients quarantined in the hospital, 10 gave birth inside, 14 underwent orthopedic and general surgeries. 
Spokesperson of the hospital, Abdel Rahim Aboul Haggag, said outpatient clinics have been equipped and renovated in the past weeks in preparation for the reopening.
