CAIRO- 30 July 2020:  President Abdel Fattah El Sisi sent on Thursday a cable of greetings to Moroccan King Mohammed VI on the Moroccan national day, reported Egypt’s state-owned news agency MENA.

Last month, President Sisi sent a cable to King Mohammed VI to congratulate him on the successful heart surgery he recently underwent and to wish Morocco further development and prosperity.

In July last year, Nasser Bourita, the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation left Cairo after concluding his one-day visit, during which he delivered a message from the Moroccan King to President Sisi on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two states.

During the meeting between the two ministers, they discussed progress in a number of areas of bilateral cooperation, affirming the importance of intensifying work towards exploring new horizons for joint cooperation in various fields, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez said.

Sisi, a year earlier, also sent a cable of greetings to the King on the anniversary of the king's accession to the Throne.

Sisi delegated presidential secretary Mohamed Yehia to the Moroccan Embassy in Cairo to offer greetings on the 19th anniversary of the monarch's accession to the Throne.
