CAIRO – 23 July 2020: The Ministry of Interior has arrested a terrorist cell in Alexandria over producing fabricated videos on Egypt, as part of the efforts to reveal hostile plans by terrorist Brotherhood organization.

The intelligence department at the National Security sector spotted that leaders of the outlawed organization, who are at large outside the country, have assigned a number of Brotherhood members to implement a plan aiming to spread rumors amid preparations for the senate elections, according to a statement by the Ministry of Interior.

The terrorist cell published false news on the internal situation in the country and state institutions, through the internet and pro-Brotherhood satellite channels abroad.
