CAIRO – 14 July 2020: Egypt’s Attorney General Hamada al-Sawy ordered starting an investigation on the petroleum pipeline explosion that took place at Ismailia Desert Road lead earlier, Tuesday.

In an official statement, it was added that prosecution will be announcing all of the investigations outcomes as soon as possible.
 
Leakage of petroleum pipeline at Ismailia Desert Road lead to a sudden explosion, Tuesday causing several injuries, about 12 people were hospitalized.
 
Official sources at the Ministry of Petroleum said that minister Tarek el-Molla headed to the explosion site, as an investigation will be opened to determine the reasons behind the accident.
 
The sources initially said that the explosion took place due to a leakage of a broken pipeline; however, the details will be explained after the investigation.
 
Egypt’s prime minster Mustafa Madbouly called Petroleum minister to follow up with the accident and the reasons of the explosion.
 
About 15 fire trucks were headed to the explosion site to control the fire.
