Petroleum pipeline explosion at Ismailia Desert Road; Prime Minster follows up

CAIRO – 14 July 2020: Leakage of petroleum pipeline at Ismailia Desert Road lead to a sudden explosion, Tuesday causing several injuries.

Official sources at the Ministry of Petroleum said that minister Tarek el Molla head to the explosion site, as an investigation will be open to determine the reasons behind the accident.

The sources initially said that the explosion took place due to a leakage of a broken line pipe; however, the details will be explained after the investigation.

Egypt’s prime minster Mustafa Madbouly called Petroleum Minister to follow up with the accident and the reasons of the explosion.

About fifteen fire trucks headed to the explosion site to control the fire.
