CAIRO - 10 July 2020: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi sent his Lebanese counterpart Michel Aoun on bilateral relations, announced the Lebanese Presidency on Twitter account on Friday.

The message was delivered by Egyptian ambassador to Yasser Elwi.

Previously , the Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon praised the role played by the Lebanese Parliament's Finance and Budget Committee in recent weeks to adopt an inclusive approach to achieving a breakthrough regarding the Lebases financial crisis, and to in-depth negotiations with the International Monetary Fund.

In March, dozens of Lebases people went to the streets in protest of the bad economic situation, which led to the resignation of Saad al-Hariri’s government. The current government, presided by Hassan Diab, is trying to find a solution to the economic crisis.
