The Kuwaiti administration justly said 14 direct flights transported 3,079 local passengers to Cairo, six flights carrying 899 passengers left for Sohag, and one flight carrying 130 passengers left for Alexandria.

The flights are typically operated by EgyptAir, FlyEgypt, AirCairo, Kuwaiti Airways and Jazeera Airways, added the official statement.

Meanwhile, as many as 3,479 Egyptians left on Tuesday for Cairo, Assiut, and Sohag via 17 flights.

Egypt suspended international aviation on March 19 as a protective measure against COVID-19 repatriating - on exceptional flights - since then around 30,000 Egyptians stuck abroad. The beginning was with citizens who were in visits or temporary stays. Later, authorities have been bringing home expats who lost their jobs, particularly in Gulf countries.
