CAIRO - 28 May 2020: Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese said that the Coptic Church prays to the God for an end to the crisis of coronavirus pandemic and to protect Egypt and the entire world from this threat.

Pope Tawadros II said that next Monday the Coptic Church will celebrate the feast of Christ's entry into Egypt, adding that on Sunday the church will celebrate the feast of Pentecost, which marks the descent of the Holy Spirit, before the start of the Apostles’ Fast.

This came in the Pope Tawadros' address during the Mass of the feast of Glorious Ascension which was held at the Monastery of Saint Pishoy in Wadi El Natrun in Beheira, without public attendance.

The pontiff greeted all Copts on the Glorious Ascension feast.

A number of priests and archbishops attended the Mass.
