Russia's COVID-19 cases climb by 9,263 to near 300K

MOSCOW, May 19 (MENA) - The number of infections with coronavirus stood at 299,941 in Russia, marking an increase of 9,263 compared to yesterday's figure, Russian health officials announced on Tuesday. The daily growth in COVID-19 cases was slightly higher compared to Monday's update.

A total of 2,837 Russian residents have died from coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic, growing by 115 on a daily basis.

The country has conducted 7.3 million tests for COVID-19 so far, 200,000 more from the previous day, while 76,130 people have successfully recovered from coronavirus since the start of the outbreak, Russian health authorities said.
