Oman registers 157 new infections; tally at 5,186

MUSCAT, May 17 (MENA) - Oman’s Health Ministry Sunday announced 157 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing to 5,186 the country's overall infections.

The newly diagnosed cases include 81 Omanis and 76 foreigners, the ministry said without giving a breakdown of foreign patients’ nationalities.

The ministry said 22 total fatalities are reported in Oman, according to the Omani news agency ONA.

The total recoveries in the sultanate has reached 1,465 cases, the ministry added.
