CAIRO - 5 May 2020: Villages subject to isolation in the governorates of Egypt undergo comprehensive disinfection and sterilization by the Ministry of Health.The health conditions of the isolated are also monitored every day and the executive bodies support isolated families with food and commodities.

A total of 80 people were isolated for two weeks in Ihweh, Beni Suef, known as the Village of Representatives, due to the presence of three members of the House of Representatives in it. This took place in cooperation with the Security Directorate after the discovery of 14 cases of coronavirus.Two cases recovered and left quarantine in Abu Tij Hospital, Assiut.

The Security Directorate has put iron barriers in front of the isolated houses, and deployed police forces. The Health Directorate also took samples from the isolated people,who tested negative for the coronavirus, before isolating them in their homes for the incubation period of the virus.

Health and environment monitors observe isolated people daily and make sure they follow the preventive measures and maintain appropriate sanitary isolation.

Also, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Ihsan Abu Zaid, was keen to provide meals for the isolated families before Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan, as part of an initiative launched by the ministry that aims to provide 1,000 meals per day during Ramadan.

Ayman Owais, one of the villagers, said that the measures taken by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Interior to isolate the village is a normal procedure in such circumstances, adding that the isolation period will end after fifteen days, to preserve the health of the villagers.

Jamal al-Roubi said, "The villagers are known for their cooperation in crises, and we all check on the isolated families continuously." He pointed out that it is shameful that a person becomes infected with the coronavirus, but it is wrong not to be aware of ways to prevent it.

He expressed his dissatisfaction with the rumor mongers especially on Facebook, who mention the numbers of injured people without a source.

In Gharbia Governorate, the security and executive agencies imposed health isolation on six villages. Specifically, in the city of Mahalla, the isolation included several houses of the Saft Trapp village, after 51 positive cases were discovered and the death of one case.

The white army of nurses,doctors and health workers continue their work inside the village's medical center and amid strict preventive measures.The health unit is undergoing regular disinfection measures to reduce the spread of the virus.

For its part, the Social Solidarity Directorate, in coordination with the Social Solidarity Administration in Mahalla City, spent a pension of Takaful and Karama for 316 citizens of the village of SafatTurab with a total amount of LE 175,504 in two installments, in addition to sending representatives from Nasser Social Bank to the villagers to get pensions. The special grant for irregular work in the village is also being disbursed.

In the village of Nahtai, Gharbia Governorate, a committee affiliated with the Ministry of Health examined the villagers and raised their awareness of the seriousness of the disease, methods of prevention and the need for maintaining hygiene.

Badral-Nasser Hamida, undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Gharbia Governorate, added that the follow-up teams are conducting a comprehensive survey of all those who came in contact with the cases that have proven positive, alerting them to go to the health unit in case they suffer from any symptom.

Amani Khaled al-Nader, undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity in Al-Gharbia, also provided 250 cartons of foodstuffs to families, in addition to 300 meals to be distributed over a period of ten days, in coordination with the Takaful Foundation and in cooperation with the Solidarity Directorate andResala Charitable Society in Zafta.

In Al-Rayayna village, Luxor Governorate, Omar Muhammad Ahmed Abdullah, a CT scanner at Luxor International Hospital, his wife and two children were infected with the coronavirus.They were isolated in one room in Aswan Hospital to receive the necessary treatment. The Luxor governor decided in coordination with the Health Directorate and the Security Directorate to isolate the house and neighboring houses.
