CAIRO – 19 April 2020: French journalist Nader Alloush confirmed on Sunday on his Twitter account that the health condition of former Qatar Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani has recently deteriorated dramatically.

Alloush indicated that the Qatari royal family hireda medical team from the United States that included two Jewish doctors to treat him.

Alloush wrote on Twitter, "The former emir of Qatar lies between life and death after he caught the coronavirus. A team of American doctors including 2 Jews have been sent (to treat him)."

Hamad bin Khalifa assumed the emirate on June 27, 1995, after carrying out a coup against his father, then Emir of QatarKhalifa bin Hamad Al-Thani. Former Emir Hamadpassed onthe ruling to his son Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on June 25, 2013.



It should be noted that the Ministry of Public Health today announced on Sunday April 19, 440 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and the recovery of 8 cases of the disease, bringing the total cases of recovery in the State of Qatar to 518 cases. Qatar has the 3rd highest number of confirmed cases in the Arab World at more than 5000 cases.
