CAIRO, April 19 (MENA) - Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa stressed on Sunday that the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group had been founded on treachery and that it has been seeking, as usual, to disrupt public opinion by spreading rumors and lies.

Every week, the group followers spread lies about opening mosques in a bid to tamper with emotions of common people who might be unaware of principles of Islamic jurisprudence that put the safety of worshiper above of opening mosques, the minister said in press statements.

The decision to close mosques across the nation is based on solid jurisprudence principles, he said, stressing that mosques will not be re-opened unless the virus is contained.

Gomaa said covering up for any of these stray elements is considered a betrayal of homeland and religion, calling for purifying all national institutions from these elements.
