Pope Tawadros to lead Easter Mass Saturday

CAIRO, April 17 (MENA) - Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Marks Diocese will lead the Easter Mass Saturday at the Church of the Transfiguration at the Monastery of Saint Pishoy in Wady el Natrun, northwest of Cairo.

The Pope will not receive guests at the Saint Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in light of the preventive measures taken to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Spokesman for the Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church Polis Halim said in a statement.
