CAIRO - 14 March 2020: Deputy Head of Sudan's Transitional Military Council Lieutenant General Mohammad Hamdan Dagalo (Hamidati) headed to Cairo for a two-day official visit at Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s invitation, said the council in a statement on Saturday.

During his visit, Hamidati will discuss bilateral relations and ways of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in various fields, as well as issues of mutual concern, the statement added.

On March 9, 2020, head of the sovereignty council of Sudan, General Abdel Fatah al Burhan, and his deputy Hamidati, separately met with Egyptian chief of General Intelligence in Khartoum, Abbas Kamel, Sudan state media reported.

Kamel conveyed a message of solidarity from the Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al Sisi following a foiled attempt on prime minister Abdalla Hamdok’s life. Five days ago, Hamdok survived an assassination attempt in Khartoum.
