Thursday day off for public and private sectors over bad weather

CAIRO, March 11 (MENA) - The Cabinet decided at a meeting on Wednesday under Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli that Thursday will be a paid day off for all workers in the public and private sectors due to bad weather.

The decision was made in light of a report presented by Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Mohamed Abdel Aaty forecasting heavy rains tomorrow, according to a press release issued by the Cabinet.

The ministers and officials concerned will hold a joint press conference later in the day to give details about tomorrow's weather and preparations by the ministries and departments concerned to deal with these exceptional weather conditions.

The PM issued a decision on Tuesday suspending classes in schools and universities on Thursday for the same reason.
