CAIRO - 7 March 2020: Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Manar on Saturday inspected Cairo International Airport to follow up the measures that have been taken to conduct medical tests for the arriving passengers.

This falls within the framework of intensified efforts being exerted by all state bodies to counter coronavirus (COVID-19), said a statement by the ministry.

Manar asserted the importance of conducting compulsory medical tests for all air crews, people working at the airport and those who are directly dealing with the planes and passengers.

Manar asserted the importance of constant cooperation between people working at the airport and the Health Ministry's prevention teams.

Meanwhile, head of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation Mohamed Mahrous toured Sharm El Sheikh International Airport to inspect precautionary measures adopted to combat coronavirus.
