Assar, Senegalese min. of Armed Forces discuss cooperation in military, civil industrialization

CAIRO, Feb 18 (MENA) - Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Saeed el Assar had talks on Tuesday with Minister of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Senegal Sidiki Kaba on boosting bilateral cooperation in the military and civil industrialization domains.

During their meeting, Assar stressed his ministry's keenness on boosting cooperation with the Senegalese Ministry of Armed Forces in supplying military equipment, weapons and ammunition, training of technicians and cyber security.

They also discussed Egypt's transferring of its experience in military production to the Senegalese side to help in setting up factories to produce weapons, ammunition and equipment in Senegal.

For his part, Kaba said he is looking forward to promoting cooperation with the Military Production Ministry, praising Egypt's role in fighting terrorism in the region.

He also lauded efforts exerted by Egypt to strengthen its ties with fellow African countries, underlining that they agreed on dispatching a technical team from the Senegalese Ministry of Armed Forces and companies to visit Egypt's military production factories to stand on their potentials.
