CAIRO – 18 June 2017: President Abdel Al-Fattah Al-Sisi held an Iftar for a number of civilians from several governorates on Sunday.

The Iftar gathering was invitation only and was held at President Abdel Al-Fattah Al-Sisi’s personal residence, according to official statement.




"The invitation comes per the president's interest for the direct and frequent meetings with civilians to talk with them and listen to their problems and suggestions." The statement also reported 28 civilian were invited.

On June 15, Sisi surprised and ate with Security officers from the checkpoint. The iftar meal was organized by the Armed Forces on the occasion of the Ramadan victory. Sisi addressed a short statement to the men in attendance.

During the annual Iftar Sisi held for women on June 4,he expressed his appreciation the role Egyptian women play in political, social and economic life, and he urged them to be patient with recent economic decisions the government made.
