CAIRO – 18 June 2017: Egypt’s Grand Mufti Shawky Allam condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a Central Security Forces (CSF) vehicle near the Cairo suburb of Maadi on Sunday.

“These vicious operations will not discourage the security officers who are keen on the safety and the security of the nation,” Allam said in a statement, adding that the attackers did not respect the holiness of Ramadan and will be punished in life and death.
The Grand Mufti offered his condolences to the family of the killed police officer and prayed for the injured victims.

One police officer was killed and four security personnel were injured in a mass shooting Sunday, when unknown assailants, riding a four-by-four pickup truck opened fire on a CSF vehicle.
