Sisi, PM of Mauritius discuss enhancing cooperation in various fields

CAIRO - 20 January 2020: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s keenness to enhance cooperation with Mauritius in various fields such as trade exchange, technical support and capacity building.

Sisi’s remarks came during his meeting with the prime minister of Mauritius on the sidelines of UK-Africa Investment Summit that was inaugurated by President Sisi and British Prime Minister Boris Johnso.

According to a statement released by presidential spokesperson Bassam Rady on Monday, the prime minister of Mauritius expressed his deep appreciation to the government and people of Egypt, highlighting the friendship and fraternal ties that unite the two countries.

He also stressed his keenness to continue to support those relations at all levels, especially in various development and technical fields.

The prime minister of Mauritius also praised Egypt's support for his country's regional and international issues through its chairmanship of the African Union.

The meeting also discussed a number of files related to bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Mauritius in various fields.
