CAIRO, Jan 19 (MENA) - Health Minister Hala Zayed and Luxor Governor Luxor Mohamed Alham inspected renovation work in Luxor Public Hospital which comes as part of the preparations of the governorate to apply new health insurance system.
In a statement on Sunday, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said that Zayed visited the different departments of the hospital and ordered the completion of the renovation activities according to the set schedule.
Zayed also checked on the patients to make sure they receive proper medical service, Megahed added.
The hospital includes departments of gastroenterology, pediatrics, general surgery, orthopaedics, dentistry, dermatology, otolaryngology, cardiology among others.
Megahed said that, according to the renovation plan, the number of beds in the hospital will be increased from 154 to 201.
Luxor is among the governorates included in the first stage of applying the new comprehensive health insurance system.
