CAIRO, Jan 18 (MENA) - Minister of State for Military Production Mohammed el Assar discussed with South Korean Ambassador to Egypt Yoon Yeocheol prospects of cooperation between both sides.

Assar asserted his ministry's keenness on fostering strategic partnership with South Korea in various fields, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday.

The two sides tackled means of cooperation in transferring the advanced Korean technology to Egypt.

They also reviewed the joint manufacturing of Korean products in the factories of the Military Production Ministry and benefiting from Egypt as a hub for exporting the Korean products to Arab and African markets.

The South Korean envoy hailed the distinguished technical and technological potentials of the Egyptian military production factories.

He also commended fruitful cooperation and confidence between both sides which he said encouraged the Korean companies to establish new partnerships with the Egyptian ministry.

He also praised Egypt's key role in achieving security, peace and stability in Africa and the Middle East region, highlighting its role in combating terrorism and improving security conditions.
