CAIRO – 14 January 2020: The General Administration of East Port Said Customs thwarted an attempt to smuggle large amounts of the forbidden drug “Hashish” inside a 40-foot container containing 1,269 packets of apples.

The container came from Syria, and arrived at East Port Said port under the company called AH for import and export.

After inspecting the consignment, a total number of 3,060 pieces of hashish with a brown substance similar to the anesthetic substance weighing 630 kg were hidden inside 50 packages of apples.
