CAIRO - 12 January 2020: The National Organization for Military Production, the Holding Company of Water and Wastewater, and three Emirati companies signed an agreement to establish a factory specialized in polyethylene and polypropylene pipes.

The signing ceremony was attended by Minister of Military production Mohamed el-Assar and Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Areas Assem el-Gazar. The production of the factory is planned to fulfill local needs, and target Arab and African markets.

Minister for Military Production Mohamed el-Assar discussed Saturday with Planning Minister Hala el-Saeed the progress achieved in the underway restructuring of Helwan Company for Engineering Industries (Factory 99).

During a meeting attended by a delegation of the Planning Ministry affiliate NI Capital company, which carries out the restructuring of Factory 99, the two sides tackled aspects of mutual cooperation.

The renovation of Factory 99, one of the firms operating under the umbrella of the Military Production Ministry, entails restructuring the human, financial, marketing and information technology sectors of the factory.

Upgrading the production lines as well as the planning system of the factory are also undertaken by NI Capital.
