CAIRO- 6 January 2020: Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria led the Christmas mass on Monday at the Cathedral in the New Administrative Capital.

The cathedral will be open for the visitors on the following day starting from 2:00 p.m. (Cairo time), according to a statement from the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria on Monday.

Pope Tawadros II gave his 2020 Christmas message for the Coptic Christians, wishing them Merry Christmas. His speech was translated into 12 languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Swedish and Danish.

On his official Twitter account, President Abdel Fatah al Sisi wished all Egyptian Coptic Christians a Merry Christmas, praying to Allah to bless and protect the nation.



First Lady Entissar al-Sisi wished a merry Christmas for all Coptic Christians in her official Facebook page.



The mass was attended by 11 Ministers, a number of lawmakers and state officials.
