CAIRO, Jan 4 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli inspected Saturday the new parliament headquarters and an Islamic cultural center in the New Administrative Capital.

The ministers of culture, electricity and renewable energy, and housing, utilities and urban communities accompanied the premier along with head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Maj. Gen. Ihab el Far.

The new parliament premises is built on an area of 25.87 feddans. Its main hall can accommodate 1,000 MPs, Madbouli was told during his tour.

The new premises also includes several suites for top officials, one museum, a VIP restaurant and a lounge for MPs.

Occupying an area of 15,000 square meters, the Islamic cultural center hosts one mosque, a service area, a stateroom and multi-storey car parks accommodating about 4,000 vehicles.
