CAIRO – 2 January 2019: Minister of Justice Omar Marwan received Tuesday Ambassador of Hungary to Cairo Péter Kveck to discuss ways of mutual cooperation in legal and judicial fields between both countries.

Minister Omar Marwan signaled his delight with the Hungarian keenness on activating cooperation with Egypt. The bilateral meeting tackled ways of supporting and activating a MoU signed between both countries in 2014 regarding judicial cooperation.

The Hungarian ambassador also requested that Egypt ratifies the validity of the bilateral agreements’ procedures especially the agreement on supplying new railway vehicles.

For his side, Justice Minister Marwan instructed that all necessary legal procedures be taken upon receipt of the documents related to this agreement, given its importance in developing the railway facility.

This is considered the first meeting held by Minister Marwan with an ambassador of a foreign country since he assumed his new position.
