CAIRO - 30 December 2019: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received on Monday a cable of condolences from Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman over the death of the victims of a road accident in Port Said governorate.

The Saudi King and Crown Prince wished a speedy recovery for the injured, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Twenty-three people were killed and six others were injured when a bus carrying factory workers crashed into a truck on the Port Said-Damietta highway.

On Dec.29, Egyptian Prosecutor-General Hamada al-Sawy ordered the detention of a truck driver for causing a deadly accident and ordered detaining him for four days pending investigation over the charge of manslaughter after the Forensic Medicine Authority revealed that the driver is a drug addict.
