CAIRO, Dec 11 (MENA) - Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Saeed el Assar discussed on Wednesday with Defense Minister of Montenegro Predrag Boskovic ways of boosting military cooperation.

Assar reiterated Egypt's keenness on furthering cooperation with Montenegro and exchanging expertise in the manufacturing domain.

The two sides discussed possible cooperation in the manufacturing of arms and ammunition.

Assar expounded the ministry's role in meeting the needs of the Armed Forces and police and manufacturing civilian products to contribute to the development of the country.

Montenegro's defense minister lauded the manufacturing potentials of the Ministry of Military Production and its role in meeting the growing needs of the Armed Forces.

He underlined the importance of the role played by Egypt to fight terrorism in the region.

He lauded economic progress that was achieved in Egypt as a result of economic reforms that were applied five years ago.

They agreed to exchange visits between representatives of the two countries' military production companies.

The Montenegro minister was invited to take part in the second edition of EDEX 2020, the only international defense expo in the region.
