CAIRO – 6 December 2019: Egyptian military spokesman on Thursday said a fighter jet crashed into the ground as it went into a free fall due to technical issues, which are not yet announced.

Tamer al-Rifae said the jet was involved in a training. The pilot managed to eject using a parachute, Rifae said, but did not further explain the condition of the pilot.

A specialized technical committee is working to find the cause of the sudden technical issues that led to the plane crash, he added.
