CAIRO - 5 December 2019: Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad and UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment Thani Ahmed al Zeyoudi inked on Thursday the 1st executive program to protect the environment in Egypt and the UAE to activate joint cooperation between both countries in a number of domains including full management of solid waste, environmental tourism, management of nature reserves and climate change.

Egyptian Minister of Tourism Rania el Mashat attended the meeting.

Fouad and Zeyoudi discussed a number of environmental issues of mutual interest especially environmental tourism and managing nature reserves.

Fouad said that the meeting took up the file of negotiations in the COP 25 held in Spain and the role of Egypt and the UAE in pushing forward the talks on Paris agreement to reach executive mechanisms and unify the Arab visions on the issue of climate change so as to serve the best interest of the Arab countries and push up their efforts to face the impact of climate change.

Meanwhile, Zeyoudi asserted that cooperation with Egypt is continuous in a number of spheres including those of nature protectorates and environmental investment.
