Egypt-US relations are strategic: Foreign Min. spokesperson

CAIRO - 3 December 2019: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ahmed Hafez tweeted on Tuesday that Egyptian- American relations are strategic and have extended for a long time.

Hafez's tweet came as Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with new US Ambassador Jonasan Cohen on Tuesday at the Foreign Ministry.

In the same context, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received on Monday the credentials of the nine newly-appointed ambassadors of US, Angola, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Belarus, Rwanda, Algeria, Sri Lanka and Cyprus.

The president welcomed the new diplomats, wishing them success in their diplomatic mission in Cairo. He reiterated Egypt's keenness on boosting cooperation with their countries in all domains.
