CAIRO - 27 November 2019: "We are very confident that we are on the right track, and this is confirmed by all indications," Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said during an interview with CNN on Tuesday.

“The most important thing that makes us confident is that we have already passed (the stage of) the difficult decisions,” Madbouly stated, pointing out that Egypt will focus during the next 2 years on making the Egyptian citizens feel the positive results of the economic reform.

On the regional developments and tensions, Madbouly said, "We live in a region very volatile and witness protests and tensions because of the dissatisfaction (of some people in the region) with the performance of their governments and with their failure to provide the basic needs of the citizens.

“The situation in Egypt is much better than in these countries because we have already managed to overcome the obstacles they have, and it has become very clear that the quality of life in Egypt has improved, which has reflected on the citizens,” Madbouli explained.

The prime minister noted that the Egyptian Government recognizes that the road is still long, and stressed that a lot of efforts still need to be exerted to improve the situation.

He also confirmed that the government is trying to make many reforms to attract investors, who have grown more confident in the Egyptian economy.
