CAIRO – 9 November 2019: On the anniversary of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, President Abdel Fatah E Sisi extended his best wishes to all Egyptians and Muslims worldwide.

“To the Egyptians and the Arab nation, happy anniversary of Last Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, the prophet of peace and love who disseminated tolerance and all pillars of the religion with wisdom and goodly exhortation. Happy many returns,” President Sisi posted on his official Facebook page on Saturday.

Two days ago, President sent greeting cables to extend his best wishes for Egyptian expatriates on the anniversary, praying to Allah to bless all Arab and Islamic nation and beloved country Egypt.

In the third month of the Islamic Calendar, Rabi' al-Awwal, Muslims celebrate the Prophet's birthday; Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born at the beginning of Rabi' al-Awwal, or on April 22, 570 AD, according to many historians. One of the most important aspects of the celebration is the establishment street markets to sell candy and Arouset El-Moulid (sugar bride).

In his speech at the Ministry of Endowment on this anniversary, President Sisi directed the Egyptian Islamic religious institutions to hold a week-long conference to discuss ways of renewing the religious discourse and revolutionizing the religious ideology.
