CAIRO – 6 November 2019: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Wednesday received a number of heads of delegations taking part at the 12th Biennial conference of the Network for African National Human Rights Institutions (NANHRI).

During the meeting, the Egyptian leader stressed on implementing the concept of “comprehensive human rights”, which include all social, health, and educational rights, and not only political rights, a statement by Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady said.

The theme of the conference revolves around the Global Compact for Migration, the common vision of national human rights institutions and the challenges in its implementation.

It is worth mentioning that Egypt signed the document establishing the African Network of National Human Rights Institutions on the occasion of the Sixth Conference of African National Human Rights Institutions, held in the Rwandan capital of Kigali in October 2007 at its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.

The vision of the African Network is to achieve human rights endeavors in every African country in accordance with the Paris Principles.
