CAIRO - 6 November 2019: The Egyptian-Russian military exercises “Arrow of Friendship-1”are being conducted for the first time on the Egyptian territory.

The two-week exercise involves large-scale air defense drills and combat training.

The exercise comes within the framework of efforts to develop and enhance military cooperation between the two countries, transferring and exchanging expertise between the Egyptian Armed Forces and the armed forces of friendly and brotherly countries.

Meanwhile, Egyptian-Pakistani-Jordanian drills, code-named Dawn of the East-1, are heldwith the participation of Egyptian, Pakistani, and Jordanian special forces.

The two-week drills, which are held in Pakistan, come in light of the three countries' keenness on promoting military relations.The drills include the implementation of many activities, including parachute jumps and fast roping, and typical and non-typical shooting, in addition to training in counter-terrorism.
