Parliament denies extending current session

CAIRO, Nov 6 (MENA) - Media spokesman for the House of Representatives Salah Hasballah denied on Wednesday media reports that the current parliamentary session will be extended.

These reports are totally groundless, Hasballah said in a statement.

The fifth and last parliamentary session of the legislative term, which kicked off October 1, will end as scheduled, he added.

New parliamentary elections will take place in 2020 according to the Constitution.
