CAIRO, Oct 16 (MENA) - Egyptian and French naval forces implemented exercises at the northern fleet zone in the Mediterranean Sea.

The drills were conducted during a visit by Long Live Egypt frigate and the frigate AUVERGNE to the port of Alexandria.

An Egyptian submarine also took part in the exercise.

The training was conducted within the framework of directives by the general command of the Egyptian Armed Forces to upgrade the performance of the naval forces and exchange expertise with the Armed Forces of friendly countries.

The drills included training activities on defense against unconventional threats and sailing formations along with aircraft landing on ships.
