CAIRO, Oct 1 (MENA) - Egypt has underlined the necessity of taking all measures against parties and governments that continue to support terrorist organisations and providing political cover for terrorists in Syria.
Egyptian envoy to the UN Mohamed Iddris, added while reading Egypt's statements at a Security Council session on Syria, that these measures should be taken against any party or government that funds or provides terrorists with weapons as well.
He added in press statements on Tuesday that Egypt expressed hope that setting up the Syrian constitutional committee will stop the suffering of the Syrian people and help the Syrians reach a political settlement to their crisis.
The Egyptian statement underscored the necessity of adopting serious and collective measures for fighting terrorism and illegitimate armed groups in Syria, he pointed out.
Egypt warned of the spread of the danger of terrorists and foreign fighters outside Syria to Libya and other African areas, he added.
