KUWAIT CITY, Sept 30 (MENA) - Political writer Abdullah Bishara said President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is the only guarantee of Egypt's political moderation and economic development.

Bishara, who was the former secretary general of the Gulf Cooperation Council, said Egypt's contribution to regional stability is a necessity for international security.

Egypt under Sisi restored its previous status as a leading country in the region that puts development on top of its priorities, the writer said in an article published in Al Qabas newspaper.

He lauded unprecedented economic steps taken by Sisi, especially his decision to float the Egyptian pound and remove all hurdles to investors.

Sisi's biggest achievement was his ability to ease burdens of subsidy that were crippling State budget.

Also, he managed to end the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood before they turn Egypt into a new Afghanistan, he added.

At the end, the writer said President Sisi worked for boosting relations with Arab countries based on mutual interest, respect of all Arab regimes and non-interference in internal affairs.
