CAIRO – 26 September 2019: A delegation of African broadcaster receiving a training course in Egypt visited the media sector of the Interior Ministry and the Police Academy Thursday.

The course is organized by the Egyptian Supreme Regulatory Media Council in bid to communicate with and open up to the media in the friendly African nations.

The broadcaster, coming from 13 African countries, followed work at different administrations in the media and public relations sector. They were given detailed explanation of the tasks of the sector, which primarily aim to provide local and international media outlets with all the information they need about the situation in the country.

They also inspected techniques used in filming, production, publications, as well as studios.

In the Police Academy, the delegation was introduced to the training methodologies used to teach African trainees in all security work in English and French. They also visited the library of the academy, which includes several security studies about using media to counter crime and extremism.

They later visited a number of training facilities to view the programs applied by the academy in practical training to maintain security and prevent crime.
