CAIRO – 23 September 2019: The project to launch the Women Support Fund has been approved by the Social Solidarity Committee of the parliament to help women breadwinners, debtors, and senior, as well as qualify women to work.

Below are the main aspects of the law of the fund.

1 – A women breadwinner is one who is divorced, separated, a window, disabled, or in any other social circumstances that led her to be the main breadwinner of her family.

2 – A woman debtor is one who is sentenced to prison for an unpaid debt and has no provider or an adequate source of income to pay the debt.

3 – An elderly woman is a senior citizen who has no adequate source of income or a person who is legally obliged to provide for her.

4 – Provide social, health and cultural care for women, and assist them to start or take part in projects and handicrafts.

5 – Raise the political, social and cultural awareness by providing suitable work opportunities and healthcare for those who do not have social insurance.

6 – Provide opportunities to have housing units in the many housing projects subsidized by the state if they have never had such one.
