CAIRO - 1 September 2019: Orman Charity Association launched an initiative to treat poor heart patients through organizing a series of medical convoys across the nation.

In statements on Sunday, Director General of Orman Charity Association Mamdouh Shaaban said the initiative comes in continuation of its programs to support the underprivileged segments of the society, including offering free medical treatment to patients suffering from heart problems over the past few years.

The initiative includes free treatment for all types of cardiovascular diseases and open heart and other cardiological surgeries whose costs are relatively expensive, he added.

Orman Association has so far successfully extended treatment to 41,415 heart patients with a total cost of EGP 1.35 billion through cooperation with the various Egyptian medical foundations and their professors.(
