CAIRO – 1 September 2019: Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber praised Egypt's pivotal role in supporting security and stability of the Arab nations, and its valuable efforts in enhancing joint Arab work at all levels, the Egyptian presidency said in a statement.

Meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Kuwait on Sunday, Sheikh Sabah Al-Jaber affirmed his country's appreciation to Egypt's leadership and people, praising the Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations and sincere historical relations, presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said.

For his part, President Sisi affirmed Egypt's appreciation for the historic ties with Kuwait, and also the Kuwaiti stances supporting Egyptian people's development efforts, Radi added.

Sisi was received by Kuwait’s Emir on Saturday. During his official visit to Kuwait, Sisi also met with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah.

This is considered the third official visit by President Sisi to Kuwait since he assumed office in 2014. The first visit was in January 2015 to express gratitude for Kuwait’s good stands with Egypt following the June 30 revolution.
