Sisi: Egypt interested in upgrading higher education

YOKOHAMA, 28 August 2019: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Wednesday confirmed to the president of Hiroshima University that Egypt is interested in upgrading higher education and scientific research.

At a meeting with Mitsuo Ochi, the Egyptian president expressed appreciation for the Japanese support to higher education projects in Egypt, said Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi.

He expressed hope for enhancing joint cooperation in the educational sector in Egypt, added the spokesman.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Tokyo International Conference on Africa's Development (TICAD) here.
