Sisi in Yokohama for TICAD 7

YOKOHAMA - 27 August 2019: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi arrived in the Japanese city of Yokohama, the venue of the seventh TICAD, early Tuesday.

Short for Tokyo International Conference on African Development, TICAD will be co-chaired by Sisi, the current president of the AU, and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

This year TICAD will focus on "Advancing Africa's Development through People, Technology and Innovation".

The conference will be attended by African heads of state and representatives of international organizations, atop of which the UN and World Bank.

The conference will tackle efforts to improve the business environment through encouraging private investments and innovation.

Participants will also focus on enhancing security, stability and peace.
