Libyan parl't thanks Egypt for supportive stances

CAIRO - 14 August 2019: The Libyan House of Representatives welcomed on Wednesday a statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on means to end the Libyan crisis, according to spokesperson for the Libyan parliament Abdulla Belhiq.

According to Belhiq, the Libyan parliament also thanked Egypt's leadership, government and people for their supportive stance toward Libya in the face of all crises. Belhiq urged the UN to work to end the Libyan crisis.

He stressed that putting an end to foreign interference, stopping support for armed militias and extremists, and eliminating terrorism and extremism are the only way to end the chaos and restore security and stability.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday August 13 urging the UN mission in Libya to cooperate to crystallize a road map needed to get out of the current crisis.
