BEIJING, Aug 7 (MENA) - Chinese President Xi Jinping asserted his country's robust support to Egypt's efforts to maintain national security and stability as well as to combat terrorism.
This came in a cable of condolences that the Chinese president sent Wednesday to his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El Sisi over Sunday's terrorist attack that occurred outside Egypt's National Cancer Institute (NCI).
In his cable, Xi said that China firmly opposes all forms of terrorism and strongly condemns the terrorist attack.
Xi said he was shocked to learn about such a grave terrorist attack, which left major casualties.
On behalf of the Chinese government and people, Xi expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
